Product Care and Washing Instructions

This help article provides general care guidelines for Pride Clothing Co. (PCC) apparel so you can help your items look great for as long as possible.

Alert

Always follow the specific care instructions on the garment tag or item detail page first.

General Care Guidelines

Unless otherwise noted, we recommend the following general care practices:
  1. Wash garments in cold water.
  2. Turn items inside out before washing.
  3. Use a gentle cycle with mild detergent.
  4. Tumble dry low or hang/lay flat to dry.
  5. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals unless the care label specifically allows non‑chlorine bleach.

Graphic or Printed Garments

For garments with graphics or prints, extra care helps preserve the design:
  1. Wash inside out with cold water on a gentle cycle.
  2. Avoid fabric softeners and harsh detergents.
  3. Tumble dry on low heat or, for best results, hang dry.
  4. If ironing is necessary, iron inside out on a low setting and avoid ironing directly on the printed area.
  5. Do not dry clean printed garments unless the care label specifically says it is safe.

Embroidered Garments

Embroidered garments should be washed gently to protect the stitches and fabric:
  1. Turn the garment inside out and wash in cold water on a gentle or delicate cycle, or hand wash when possible.
  2. Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach.
  3. Do not wring or twist the embroidery area; gently reshape and lay flat or hang to dry.
  4. If ironing is needed, use a low heat setting and press from the inside or use a pressing cloth over the embroidery. Avoid very high heat directly on stitched areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use bleach?
We generally recommend avoiding bleach, especially on printed or embroidered designs. If bleach is absolutely necessary, use only non‑chlorine color-safe bleach where the care label allows it.
Am I able to iron or steam my garments?
High heat can damage prints and embroidery. Use low heat and avoid ironing directly on decorated areas whenever possible.
How do I was my garments?
When in doubt, follow the garment’s care label and the general guidance of cold water, gentle cycle, and low heat or air drying.
